I am a fifteen year old photography student who picked up a camera a year and a half ago and decided very quickly that I want to pursue a career in photography. After taking a few beginning classes offered through my county I got a firm grasp on how to use my camera, and focused on looking upon subjects in a way that  people don't always see. Because of this, as a high school freshman,  I was allowed to enroll in an advanced level photography  class. This gave me the opportunity receive many awards from contest offered to high school students. These awards included 3 gold, and 3 silver keys from Scholastic Art and Writing, an honorable mention from Drexel University High School photography contest, finalist in Photographers Forum high school photography contest, Honorable Mention from Herndon's Technology and the Arts competition, and being chosen to have my photo displayed at the Virginia School Boards Association. As I advanced I was taken under the wing of multiple professional photographers around the area who have taught me many things that have helped me become the level of photographer I am today, and to whom I am very grateful. Although I realize that I still have a lot of growing and learning to do I owe these generous people a great deal and I credit them with much of  my success so far.
